Accessibility Statement
(Last updated November 2025)
1 Our commitment
Branch Gardens is committed to making BranchGardens.co.uk accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as far as reasonably practicable for a small‑business brochure site.
2 Measures we’ve taken
- Semantic HTML – clear heading structure and ARIA landmark regions.
- Keyboard navigation – all menus and forms are usable without a mouse.
- Colour contrast – checked to meet or exceed AA ratios; alerts shown by WordPress accessibility tools are reviewed before publication.
- Alt text – meaningful descriptions for decorative and informational images.
- Resizable text – site remains readable at 200 % zoom without loss of content.
- Error prevention – form fields have labels, instructions and clear error messages.
3 Known limitations
- Some third‑party embeds (e.g. Stripe checkout or Google Maps) are controlled by the provider and may not fully meet AA contrast or keyboard standards.
- Legacy blog images uploaded before May 2025 may lack detailed alt text; we are adding these retrospectively.
If you find any accessibility issue not listed here, please let us know so we can fix it.
